Kirkgate Arts Out Wide announce online entertainment programme

Kirkgate Arts Out Wide are lining up a varied programme of online entertainment events over the next few months.
They are offering music, poetry  and drama via their Kirkgate Youtube channel and Facebook page.
Starting this Sunday, August 16, there will be a live online gig by contemporary folk musicians ‘The Coast Road’.
The band is an acoustic collective from Cumbria and the North East, and is a revolving and evolving cast of folk / jazz musicians.
In this quartet version, Cumbrian singer/song-writer Dave Camlin will be joined by Paul Susans (Baghdaddies) on bass, multi-instrumentalist Catherine Reding and Brendan Murphy’s assortment of unusual percussion to weave acoustic beauty around songs from the heart.
The gig will begin at 7pm.
On August 21, at 8pm, there will be videos, blending music, poetry and visuals from the band NIGHTJRRS.
Mike Turnbull and the Safe Kings will perform a live gig on August 30, from 7.30pm. Mike is a multi-instrumentalist who takes his music writing influences from the Lakes. Together with Suzanne Ambrose on double bass and David Pennington on cajon, their sound and style is original modern folk.
More events are also planned for September.
The online events are free, but donations are welcome.
Performances are possible through funding from an Arts Council England emergency response fund.
